RMA/TRMC present cheque at Commando Connect

At the recent Commando Connect gathering in the Sergeants Mess at Royal Marines Condor Baz Barratt presented Colonel Barry Barnwell OBE, RD with a cheque for £10,000. Colonel Barry added that this generous award was also accompanied by the endorsement of the project aims. Firstly; to celebrate the achievements of sculptor Scott Sutherland. Secondly; to commemorate the commando trainees killed and injured during the demanding training. They have no memorial. The Leaping Salmon statue will be dedicated to their bravery and sacrifice.
